This will be the first film part for Garnis who has been a stage performer since she was a young girl.

Garnis is currently wowing audiences in the DWTS live show in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Hotel. Partnered with former  N’Syncs heartthrob Joey Fatone, Anya is the lead dancer and choreographer for the show.  She will be appearing in Los Angeles on the ABC televised DWTS in weeks to come dancing a duet from the Vegas live show, which features other celebrity alumni from past seasons. The Vegas show runs from April 13 to July 7.

Garnis, who was born and raised in Latvia, moved to the U.S. 12 years ago.  After appearing on “So you think you can Dance” as an All Star, Anya went on to do the SYTYCD tour. Soon after, Anya made the move to Hollywood where she hasn’t stopped working.  She has performed on the stage of the Oscars, the Emmys, Idol Gives Back and was then invited to return to SYTYCD. Her Rumba gave vampire fans something to talk about in the Series “True Blood” and Broadway beckoned. Anya landed the leading role in the hit show “Burn the Floor” where she starred in NY and then in Los Angeles. She followed up her time on Broadway by doing a world tour, which included performances in Japan, Korea, and Australia. Garnis has made Los Angeles her home for the past four years.

The Russian beauty is giving Vegas a treat and one to be taken advantage of.  Her movie career is gaining momentum and “Rock of Ages” is the beginning of what Hollywood producers have predicted to be a long and colorful career.
