Apple's co-founder and chief visionary Steve Jobs finally succumbed to his seven-year battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. As the news spreads throughout the globe and markets react, we are left with a question: Who will continue Apple's legacy of producing life-changing technological innovations?
Apple released a statement on its website:
"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world lost and extraordinary person. Those of us who had the good fortune to know him and work with Steve Jobs has lost a friend, a guide, a source of inspiration. Steve leaves a company that only he could build, and his spirit will always remain the spirit of Apple."
In an acclaimed address at Stanford University in 2005, Jobs gave his take on life:
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
We here at The Suit Magazine express our deepest condolences to the Jobs family and the Apple Community.
