But Pollitt could see Sima’s potential as a business management company, and in 2006 he bought and separated the division from Versant. “I felt strongly that we had lot of opportunities to grow this business in many other ways that we weren’t able to do under the existing organization,” he said.

Sima Solutions has grown from that bold idea into a broadly practicing business that prides itself on being IBM’s go-to company for information technology guidance. It is also the consulting company of choice for other financial, insurance and government organizations who use IBM technologies.
